Extremity injuries, including those affecting the arms, legs, hands, and feet, can significantly impact your ability to perform daily activities and enjoy an active lifestyle. At our practice, we offer effective treatments for extremity injuries, including advanced chiropractic care, massage therapy, and personalized rehabilitation programs.
Extremity injuries can result from various factors, including accidents, sports injuries, repetitive strain, and overuse. Common types of extremity injuries include sprains, strains, fractures, tendinitis, and joint injuries. These injuries can cause significant pain, reduce mobility, and lead to long-term health issues if not properly treated.
Our approach to treating extremity injuries begins with a thorough assessment to determine the cause and extent of your injury. This includes a detailed medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic imaging if necessary. Based on our findings, we develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Chiropractic care is a key component of our extremity injury treatment. Our experienced chiropractor uses gentle adjustments to realign the joints, reduce inflammation, and improve function. By addressing joint misalignments, we help to alleviate pain and restore mobility. Regular chiropractic care can also prevent future injuries by maintaining optimal joint health.
Massage therapy is another effective treatment for extremity injuries. Our skilled massage therapist uses techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Massage therapy can help reduce pain, enhance flexibility, and support the healing process.
For individuals with specific injuries such as tendinitis or joint injuries, we offer advanced treatments like ultrasound therapy and cold laser therapy. These non-invasive therapies help to reduce inflammation, promote tissue repair, and provide pain relief. They can be particularly beneficial for chronic extremity injuries and enhance overall recovery.
In addition to the treatments mentioned previously, we provide personalized rehabilitation programs to strengthen the muscles supporting your injured extremities, improve flexibility, and prevent re-injury. Our rehabilitation programs are tailored to your fitness level and specific condition, ensuring that you achieve the best possible results.
At Foothills Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic, we believe in a holistic approach to treating extremity injuries that addresses both the symptoms and underlying causes. Our multidisciplinary team works together to provide comprehensive care and support your journey to recovery.

Feel Something Wrong With Your Bones?
MAKE APPOINTMENTSam entered auto accident care at FCCO. She was experiencing pain and found it uncomfortable to be at her work computer, as if she was carrying a weight on her shoulders. Numbness around parts of the face was also an issue. Shortly after the accident, her planned trip overseas was dampened by poor sleep, dizziness, concussion-feeling, foggy and feeling irritable. After dedicating time to many chiropractic and massage treatments, Sam says she headaches are gone, and she feels energized after massage. Numbness is also much less frequent. And her pain dropped significantly. She continues with PT and stretches on her own to promote the best in her health and daily activities.
Samantha A.Earlier this year, I had an accident and hurt my shoulder. Was sitting in the passenger seat and leaning over when we got in the accident so the seat belt stopped my shoulder. I didn’t realize I had gotten hurt that bad. I couldn’t even reach behind my back or over my head to do my hair. Started seeing Dr. Venekamp for treatments and doing massage therapy. I noticed my range of motion increasing first, and then it wasn’t as sore. Also, the more massages I got, the better it got. I can reach way up and behind my back. I’m walking without pain; I can pretty much to anything I want without pain. I want to do some hiking with my niece and walking some more. And more traveling, photography.
RhondaWe've been under chiropractic care for 20+ years, since about ’96 when Dr. Kenna Venekamp was in Hot Springs, SD. (Esther): while playing baseball, my knee buckled. I saw Dr. Kenna who referred me to an Orthopedic Dr. for a torn ACL. Then both our kids started going to Dr. Kenna too. (Kirk): I was in construction and just so much stress on the body from that work and then falling off a roof. Dr. Kenna fixed my shoulder- both of them. (Esther): After Kenna left Hot Springs, Kirk did try other Chiro care but got to where he almost couldn’t walk because they couldn’t adjust his hips like Dr. Kenna (Kirk) We decided to travel to Fort Collins to see Dr. Kenna again. If I hadn’t come, I would be disabled by now. (Esther): if he hadn’t been adjusted, Kirk would have had to have surgery and more than likely wouldn’t be working today. We can’t say enough praise of Kenna saving our health. We’d like him to come to Hot Springs again for a couple days every so often.
